We need to start teaching Punjabi and Sikhi to young children. For children younger than 5 years old, we have Nickay Baal books. These books teach Penty Akhri reading, but there is minimal writing. There are several opportunities for the students to learn to trace the letters. The goal is to acquaint them early on with the leter symbols and Punjabi vocabulary. Common vocabulary words have been used with most of the letters.
