Learning Penty Akhri is complex and time consuming. According to World Language Standards, learning new alphabet can take up to 600 hours of practice. We, in Khalsa School only spend about 30 hours on it. If the students do homework at home, we can say that adds another 30 hours to this time. Many students, therefore struggle to master Penty Akhri in one year. Those who need extra practice, can use PSL Book 1AB to master Penty Akhri letters as well as learn more vocabulary with each letter. There are at least 10 words for each letter in this book. Students will also practice tracing and writing the letters. Students may also use Gurmukhi Sulekh Books to write more Punjabi.
