The student at Level 2 will learn the symbols and the sounds of the Matras using the Muhaarni, the three sound modifiers (Adhak, bindi, tippi). They will learn to read and write words and sentences. In vocabulary they will learn at least 250 new words including names of days, months, and counting up to 25 in Punjabi. They will use PSL Book 2A to achieve the benchmarks. Book 2A has 180 pages with 28 lessons that include a review of the Penty Akhri, Mukta words, Adhak words and Tippi words. They will also learn counting words up to 20 in Punjabi. The student is able to read beginning level Punjabi by the end of PSL Book 2A.
